A dirty filter will obstruct air flow through the cooling coil and eventually freeze the system.

A filter that is not installed properly will allow debris to collect on the cooling coil. When the coil becomes dirty, it will freeze and become an expensive service call.

It is recommended that your filter is changed quarterly, or at least 3 - 4 times a year. This will ensure the a/c system will work efficiently with better air flow and cooling.

For owners and contractors,  it is best to keep your valuable a/c equipment in an protected and secure environment. Remember to plan for storage containers for a/c equipment and coordinate with the superintendent or project management on secure site locations.  Otherwise, foreign insects can inhabit your units.

In this case, our storage container was removed and the heat pump package units were left outside. We got a mean case of "attack of the bees" on one unit. There was about 8-10 pounds of honey produced underneath the electrical control panel.
